🅿️ Parking - Where to park for Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens

Limited parking for 1 hour Monday to Saturday at no charge in Bocking End – opposite the Gardens.

2 hours parking Monday to Saturday at no charge in St. Peter’s Road (St. Peters Road is the turning off of Bocking End by the entrance to the gardens).

There is a Pay and Display Car Park at Howard Hall

There is a Pay and Display Car Park at George Yard multi-Story Car park in the town centre – 10 minutes walk from the Gardens.

The Gardens at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens

The gardens here are truly beautiful and the fountain is impressive. There are lots of paved walkways around the garden making them accessible and buggy friendly.


Nature Hide at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens

Wildlife hide for nature spotting, which is also accessible.


Playground at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens

The playground here is most suitable for children up to junior age. There are swings, a climbing structure, slide, climbing frame with slide, metal people climbing structures and a roundabout (accessible). The playground is open and there are benches around the play area.

Where to eat and drink at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens

Coffee House in the Gardens is located in Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens. The cafe serving (good!) coffee and other hot and cold drinks, breakfast, lunch, cakes and kids lunch boxes. I found prices to be reasonable.

There are toilets (including baby change and accessible toilets) next to the playground and behind the cafe.
