Melbourne Park is one one of the largest parks Chelmsford. Melbourne Park has several sports pitches and courts including tennis, netball, basketball, football and an athletics throwing area. Merlbourne Park is home Chelmsford Athletics Club and Chelmsford CIty Football Club There is also a woodland area and playground with equipment for children of all ages.

🅿️ Parking - Where to park at Melbourne Park Playground
There is a large car park with free parking. However, it is closer to park on Melborune Avenue as the playground is next to the road. There is no restrictions on parking here but this is a residential area, please park considerably.
What play equipment is there at Melbourne Park Play Area?
There is play equipment for all ages at the Melbourne Park playground. For little ones there is a climbing frame and ride on toys. There is also a roundabout.
For older children there is a geometric climbing cube, spinning frame, larger climbing frame and really good zipwire. The entire play area is enclosed and there are benches inside the park. The park is next to playing fields with lots of space for play. There is also a small sheltered/shaded seating area just outside of the play area gates, which is great as this park gets very hot in sunny weather.
Are there Toilets at Melbourne Park Playground?
There are toilets at the Melbourne Park sports pavillion, but there are not close to the playground.
