Weald Country Park is a large park in Brentwood, which consists of over 500 acres of land. The country park is full of trails and perfect for dog walking. Weald Country Park is popular with Essex families as it is the home of the "Stick Man" trail, based on the Julia Donaldson classic. There are also two themed play areas for children. Weald Park is also home to deer! There is an enclosed deer park where deer can be fed through chutes.

Stick Man Trail at Weald Country Park

Play Area at Weald Country Park
There are two play areas at Weald Country Park. Neither play area is enclosed. The first play area is next to the car park. There are baby swings, a nest swing, a sand area and a stoney area with lots of balancing equipment. Is best for children up to 10 years old.

There is a further play area on the opposite side of the lake. It is best suited for children 4 years old and older due to the height of the equipment. There is balancing equipment and a challenging climbing frame with a large slide.
Deer at Weald Country Park
Visit the Deer at Weald Country Park! The deer are located at the bottom of the play area, which is close to the car park. You can buy deer food from the cafe for £1 to feed the deer through the chutes provided.

Cafe and Visitor Centre at Weald Country Park
The Visitor Centre at Weald Country Park is located close to the main car park. The visitor centre has a cafe and small gift shop. The gift shop sells Stick Man merchandise, duck and deer food and other nature toys for children.

The Café at Weald Country Park is open from 10am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 3.45pm on weekends. The café offers light refreshments such as ice creams, hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks, as well as paninis and sausage rolls all subject to availability. The Cafe is dog friendly.
