Harlow Town Park Playground Guide - a FREE day out in Essex

Harlow Town Park is a family favourite. There are two playgrounds, a skate park, seasonal paddling pool and Pets Corner Farm for children (which is FREE to enter!). The Park has several beautiful, unique gardens (including a sensory garden), nature reserves and a wonderful bandstand. There are often family friendly seasonal events throughout the school holidays.

Playgrounds at Harlow Town Park

There are two, great play areas at Harlow Town Park.

There is a large adventure playground, which has plenty of climbing frames to suit all ages,. The majority of play equipment is metal including the seesaw, roundabout and spinning poll. There is also a zipwire, climbing wall and giant climbing pyramid, making this play area suitable for junior ages children and teenagers.

There is also a separate playground at Pets' Corner, next to the FREE farm. The play area is great. It is suitable for all ages and accessible! Equipment includes a large climbing frame with various slides, a rope bridge, mound with tunnel, spinning and musical equipment. The entire playground is enclosed. Pets' Corner Farm at Harlow Town Park

Pets' Corner Playground is also located close to Pets' Corner Farm. You can find all the farm favourites including sheep, goats, pigs, horses, donkeys chickens and guinea pigs. You can also find a tropical area with fish and reptiles, as well as a variety of birds. Sensory Garden and Walled Garden

There are several beautiful gardens in Town Park. The Sensory Garden was first opened in 1984 as a Scented Garden for the Blind. It was restored and reopened in 2015.

Are there toilets at Harlow Town Park?

There are toilets at Town Park including baby change and changing places toilets. There is stoilet block between Pets' Corner and the Walled Garden, near the Pets' Corner play area. There is a disabled toilet within the block. There is also a Changing Places toilet next to the main Pets' Corner entrance.

Serves hot and cold food and drink including- breakfast, pizza, hot dog, burgers, chips, soup, sandwiches, cake.
