Wallasea Island
Wallasea Island is a peaceful, protected RSPB nature reserve. Perfect for walks along the salflats and incredible bird-watching opportunities. Wallasea Island has limited facilties and is a 2km walk from Essex Marina, where you can pick up the Burnham Ferry.
Burnham-on-Crouch
When you depart the ferry you enter Burnham Riverside Park. There are beautiful walks along the quayside at this Country park. There are also two great playgrounds. Burnham Highstreet is full of plenty of places to eat and drink and an array of independent shops.
We had a wonderful experience taking the Burnham Ferry from the Essex Marina on Wallasea Island to Burnham-on-Crouch. The short five minute journey was truly stunning. Mark was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable for the children. Amazing service!
