What equipment is at Lake Meadows Park Playground?
There are two play areas at Lake Meadows park. The playground next to the car park and was completely revamped in March 2023. The playground has a wizard/dragon theme. You can follow along the story through the playground via prompts.
There is lots going on in this playground! Equipment includes a large climbing frame with slide suitable for older children and a smaller dragon climbing frame with slide. There are a variety of swings including baby swings, a tandem swing and a more accessible swing. There is a floor trampoline with ramp, balancing ramps with climbing mushrooms, balancing beams for older children and balance steps. There are also seesaws (one with ramp), a merry-go-round (accessible), spinning seat, frame with tunnel, musical area and spinning climb on apparatus.
The playground is enclosed and there are benches and picnic benches inside the play area.
The other play area is suitable for bigger children. It has a large rope, pyramid climbing frame and lots of balancing and climbing apparatus. The play area is grassy and not enclosed.
What else is there at Lake Meadows Park
One the highlights of this park is how friendly the squirrels are. The park is full of squirrels and they come right up to you searching for nuts.
You can also find a model boating lake.
There is a paved trail around the lake, great for cycling or scooting.
There is also woodland surrounding the park if you prefer woodland walks
Is there a cafe at Lake Meadows Park?
There is a cafe with a good selection of drinks and sandwiches. Its conveniently located overlooking the smaller children playground. However, the cafe is cash only.

Yes there are toilets close to the cafe. There are accessible toilets and baby change facilities.
